Dusty was found by a Council worker lying lifeless on a dirt road. He was rushed to the Vet and received urgent medical care. Dusty was unresponsive when he arrived at the vets. He was extremely dehydrated, emaciated, hypoglycemic and his little body was shutting down.
However, Dusty was a fighter & after 3 days of iv fluids and 3 weeks of intensive care by our wonderful, dedicated vet nurse, he went from strength to strength & nothing could stop him. Known to be a troublemaker, always adventuring and getting into mischief, he loved play fighting with his carer and other koala joeys.
After many months in care Dusty was successfully released into his home territory and is hopefully staying out of trouble.
